The syllabi for all of the new Brownie Interest Badges can be found in the new Brownie Badge Book. There are also hints and tips in the badge book, along with a special place where any badges that you complete can be signed off by the tester.
There are lots of badges to choose from that cover many hobbies and interest. Some of them are more difficult than others. If you are not sure where the best place to start is, please have a chat with mum or dad, or one of the Guiders or Young Leaders. Remember to let your Guider know as soon as you begin working for a badge so that she can support you and help you work through the requirements.
There is no limit to the number of Brownie Badges that you can earn - can you get 10 or maybe 15 badges?
In time we will put some of our own hints and tips for Brownie Badges on this website. Please check back sometime to see!
As well as Brownie Interest Badges that you can work on at any time, sometimes there are special badges and challenges that we can work on too. At the moment there are two special challenges that 1st Crown Wood Brownies are working towards.

This is the Surpr!se Yourself Challenge that was set to all members of Girlguiding UK by the Chief Guide in June 2003. There are four parts to this challenge which have to be completed before you can wear the badge. We have until the end of July 2004 to complete this challenge and our plans are well underway. Snowy is counting the construction of this website towards her badge - what do you think? Send us an email and let us know!
The other challenge badge that we are working on is a special one for everyone in South West Region. The challenge is called "Cupboard Technology". There are different challenges for different rooms in a house based on items that could be found in a cupboard. The aim is to do one challenge from each room!
This is the Girlguiding UK Disability national challenge badge. We hope to work on this badge later in 2004.
